Up to $1,000 for Heat and Hydration Support

Help your team beat the South Florida heat—apply by May 9 to get $250–$1,000 in gift cards for cooling gear, shade tents, and more through this special grant from The Miami Foundation.

When to apply:

As soon as possible. Application is due May 9, 2025.

You should apply if you

Operate a business physically located in Miami-Dade County.

Have 1–50 employees who work outdoors regularly (excluding state-licensed contractors).

Work in Agriculture, Construction, Contracting, HVAC, Landscaping, Manufacturing, or Roofing.

Plan to use funds for heat-safety items like hydration stations or shade structures.

Information you’ll need to provide

  • Basic contact info (name, phone number, email).
  • Business details (name, EIN, W-9, annual revenue, number of employees).
  • A few short answers about: how much funding you're requesting, what you’ll use it for, and how it will benefit your business and your team.

Helpful tips

  • Eligible businesses can earn $250 to $1,000 in prepaid cards for heat protection tools.
  • If awarded, you’ll need to submit a photo and short summary of how the grant helped your business, and commit to basic heat safety practices—like providing water, shade, rest breaks, training, and protective gear to keep your team safe in high heat.
  • You must use the grant and provide a photo and short summary report within 60 days of the award notice.
  • Ensure your application is clear, complete, and submitted early to avoid delays and maximize your chances of selection.
