Financial Help for COVID19 Related Funeral Expenses

Financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.

When to apply:

This is an on-going program. Funded will be provided through September 30, 2025.

You should apply if you

Need help covering funeral related costs for a death related to COVID19. 

Are a US Citizen or permanent resident. The deceased person does not have to be a U.S. Citizen just the applicant.

How to get started

To apply, call 844-684-6333, Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 9:00 pm ET.

Funds will be received by check in the mail or direct deposit (depending on option selected in application).

Information you’ll need to provide

  • An official death certificate that attributes the death directly or indirectly to COVID-19 and shows that the death occurred in the United States. 
  • Funeral expenses documents (receipts, funeral home contract, etc.).
  • Proof of funds received from other sources specifically for use toward funeral costs.

Helpful tips

  • Multilingual services are available. 
  • The death must have occurred in the United States, including the U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia.
