The Mayor's Small Business Commitment

Since day one of my administration, I've been focused on supporting our small businesses because YOU are the backbone of our economy! That's why I've unveiled Miami-Dade County's Future Ready Plan, which empowers our local workforce, supports our small businesses, and unleashes the power of innovation.

We are working with partners across the County to accelerate our community's economic growth, by providing guidance and wraparound support for small businesses. My administration is working hard to make it easier to access capital, connect to resources, get vital training, find affordable working spaces, and build a sense of community.

Thanks to the dedicated team at Axis Helps, small businesses in our community have the 'all in one' guide to the funding and resources they need to build their dreams. Miami-Dade County will continue to collaborate with Axis Helps and be a partner to YOU in building your lives and livelihoods right here in our County.

Miami-Dade County STRIVE305

The STRIVE305 program is designed to accelerate the growth of small businesses countywide and support budding entrepreneurs as they launch and grow new businesses. The program supports the small business community through:

  • A Virtual Incubator that provides free educational curriculum, coaching, and mentorship opportunities for businesses of all types and states of growth.
  • A countywide network of physical incubators, co-working spaces and maker studios equipped with the tools entrepreneurs need to launch new ventures.
  • Support and business assistance to help owners and entrepreneurs overcome common challenges such as access to capital, finances, business planning, branding, digital marketing, sales, operations and more.
